To obtain a building permit to construct or place anything on your property (pools, fences, storage buildings, portable carports, etc.) apply within the Administration Office. Applications for all building permits are located at the site linked below on the Forms and Applications page. Permits are required for signs, storage buildings, fences, additions, remodels, and all new construction, whether residential or commercial.

Animal Shelter
The purpose of our animal control program is to enforce the regulations regarding the possession, ownership, care and custody of domestic animals within the City of Lonoke and to assist in the prevention of animal cruelty. The City of Lonoke operates its own Animal Shelter and works diligently with other agencies to adopt any animal that is not reclaimed by its owners. The City will enforce its leash laws and breed specific restrictions as outlined by ordinance.
*There is no animal pickup after normal business hours unless due to an emergency.
